ETHAN: Has a great eye for detail. While Carter jumps first and asks questions later, Ethan plans. He weighs his decisions carefully and often helps the other Crew members do the same. However just as Carter jumps in, Ethan can hold back a little too long instead of taking the lead.
SELENA: Selena embraces her femininity, bringing grace and empathy to the team. Her near-photographic memory makes her an invaluable asset, while her martial arts training equips her to face the challenges ahead. She demonstrates that true strength is found in both conviction and compassion.
WIRE (Alexander): A computer enthusiast and budding inventor, Wire sees the fingerprints of God in science—not the absence of them. Far from the stereotypical science geek, his curiosity, wit, and confidence make him as engaging as he is intelligent. When his inventions work (which isn't always the case), they provide the Crew with the technical support the team needs.
PROTECTORS
ADONNA: Adonna is a seasoned Protector who rescues those trapped by the Shadowers—and those trying to escape them. Now tasked with training the Crew, she becomes their mentor and unseen guardian, guiding them through high-risk missions she knows all too well. Her leadership is shaped by experiences she continues to reckon with, even as she trains others to face their own.
APOLLOS: Abandoned to the streets at 13, Apollos was drawn into the Shadowers by their promise of belonging. Over time, the emptiness of that life drove him to seek truth—and ultimately God—leading him to the Protectors. Now, years later as Adonna’s apprentice, he uses his firsthand knowledge of the darkness to help rescue others trying to escape it.

TERION: An elite, high-ranking Shadower strategist, directing operations across the city and coordinating agents behind the scenes.
RAVEN: She believes humanity must be guided through control rather than freedom. She sees Adonna, and the Crew, not just as an enemy—but as a personal failure she intends to correct.
DRE: The Shadowers' boots on the ground, Dre targets young people searching for identity and belonging, offering purpose while leading them further into the Shadowers' web of deception.
